Certified Fire Investigation Instructor (CFII)
An Overview:
The Objectives of the CFII program are:
To Promote excellence in the professional training, education and
experience of individuals who provide instruction in the field of fire and
explosion investigation and analysis.
To provide a recognized and standardized system fort the evaluation of
the professional knowledge and qualifications of individuals who provide
instruction in the field of fire and explosion investigation analysis.
To recognize qualified fire and explosion investigation instructors.
To serve as an international registry and clearing house for qualified
fire and explosion investigation instructors.
The CFII course is offered several times a year as a one-day, eight (8)
hour course in conjunction with NAFI sponsored training programs. The one day
course is intended to provide the participant with basic skills that are
essential if the CFEI will be providing training and education programs to
other investigators, public education programs to a variety of audiences, or
presenting information to others that do not have a technical background in
fire and explosion investigation.
